Thank you for chatting with us today! 2019 has been a big year for you musically with the release of your first EP! Any top moment that stands out for you?
I did a small solo tour with 4 stops in the U.S in July through Sofar Sounds and a stop in Montevideo, Uruguay in August. All to promote the EP and the new music coming up. It was an amazing experience, I met amazing people, and played at very cool spots! Those days traveling on my own throughout the U.S, driving around in Colorado, were remarkable days to me. Can’t wait to be back performing and traveling!
I know it must be hard to choose, but do you have a favorite song from the EP? If so, why?
Very hard one, cause they’re all special for different reasons. But I have to say “Love” because it represents more than a feeling to me. It’s a song about setting your own meaning for love. It’s about not having to follow what everyone else thinks of it, and thinks how it should be. Love is love, and we all have our own definitions for it, so the song celebrates it. And my approach to deliver this message was from how I start the chorus. “…Well, I don’t know much about that” is a sarcastic phrase, saying “according to what everyone tries to make us believe what love is, I’m ignorant about it”. It’s a fun song to play live, a song that everyone in the room always connects to, I love it!
If you could blink your eyes and be in a favorite place right now, where would that be?
The first place I can think of is on the top of a very high mountain, with a stunning starry sky, with the milky way, a turquoise ocean, and someone I love. But something more real, it’d be Amsterdam. It’s my favorite city so far. Magical place where I always feel like at home when I go.
Tell us your favorite song on the radio right now?
“Don’t Start Now” by Dua Lipa. It’s such a fun and well produced song, and I also love her voice!
If you had a super power – what would it be?
Teleportation or flying. I love to be free and go places, explore this universe of ours.
