Let’s jump right in – your new video for Roller Coaster just dropped. Congrats! Do you ever get nervous before you release something new or is it more of an exciting things for you?
It is more exciting to release new material. If I release it, that means I believe in the project and I can’t wait for people to hear it. My music video for “Roller Coaster” is an animated music video and my first time directing a music video. Check it out https://youtu.be/Aesy2BaaI6w !

You have new music coming out as well right? When can we expect that and tell us what the vibe of the music will be like – similar in sound to what we have heard before or a big departure into something new?
My new single is currently scheduled to be released in April 2020. Small teasers will be released in the meantime. The song has a pop & urban feel to it. I will also be featuring another artist on the song with me as well. Keep a look out for it!
Tell us what do you think makes you stand out from all the other aspiring and upcoming artists in your genre of music?
My story and the tone of my voice is what sets me apart. When you hear my voice, you will instantly know that it’s me. As far as I am aware, I am the only artist with a PhD who reach the billboard charts. I am very proud of that and I hope it shows people that you can pursue music and still get an education.
Between creating in the studio or performing live on stage, which is most enjoyable to you and why?
Definitely performing live on stage is the most enjoyable. You get instant feedback and it’s an opportunity to create a memorable experience with the audience.
So as far as how listeners consume your music – do you miss the era of CD sales or do you prefer the new wave of music streaming?
I am a streaming type of listener. I remember the days of physical CDs, but they were hard to keep up with. I always have my phone on me, therefore I get to carry my music everywhere with me.
What is on your agenda or what can fans expect to see from you in 2020?
Three words “Album” and “International Tour”. It’s going to be a great year!
