Lady Gaga, who once had a singing career, performed at a pre-Super Bowl show in Miami, US, and crushed fans’ hopes to hear her unreleased song, “Stupid Love”.

Fans attended the Super Saturday Night concert and inked their faces with the name of the track, leaked last month, in an effort to get the singer to, well, sing.

But the 33-year-old stood her ground, and her reaction when throngs of fans shouted “Stupid Love” might not be hung in the Louvre anytime soon, but it’s safe to say a meme was born.

Lady Gaga rolled her eyes so far back she could see herself think after fans chanted ‘Stupid Love’.

Lady Gaga performed at the AT&T TV Super Saturday Night show at Meridian at Island Gardens, re-creating her Vegas residency show Enigma for the Floridian crowd.

Descending from the air, Gaga kicked off the performance by mimicking her Super Bowl half-time performance three years ago.

She joked ahead of the Super Bowl: “I better hear no lip-syncing tomorrow!”

But the show proved to be a test for the superstar’s resilience, as countless fans made their desire for Gaga to sing the song loud and clear.

Throughout the two hour show, which saw the star change costume three times, fans couldn’t help but cackle over Gaga’s reactions towards concert-goers chanting “Stupid Love” on several occasions.

And, thus, on the sixth day, a meme was born.

Fans carried out the Lord’s work by taking to Twitter to air out their frustration at Lady Gaga not dropping the track.

The back-up dancer appearing to deliver a rude hand gesture saw them be crowned the hero we need but do not deserve.

Lady Gaga read moving fan latter on stage.

To the packed arena, a single fan threw an envelope on-stage. Mid-performance, she reached down and read it aloud, News Shopper reported.

“In 2014 I fought for my life due to mental illness that stemmed from my own insecurities and life experiences,” Gaga said, reading the letter,

“Without your radiant positivity and encouragement, I don’t know if I would have had the strength to continue to fight to recover my life back.”

She invited the fan on stage and hugged her tightly.

The tear-jerking moment closed a show laced with classics, from “Just Dance” to “Poker Face”, “Telephone” to “Born This Way”.
