Cher, who once saved music in 1998 with “Believe” is now out to change politics as she doubled down on her support for former vide president Joe Biden.

The tussle to choose a Democratic contender to unseat US president Donald Trump entered a vicious chapter as Super Tuesday took place yesterday. It saw 14 states dish out delegate votes and Biden – once bruised by low turnouts in early caucuses – barrel to the lead.

Many have watched as Biden’s campaign was resurrected in a dramatic turn in the primaries after other moderate candidates withdrew from the race, seeing voters coalesce around Biden.

Or could it be that Biden’s campaign must credit success to Cher, who tweeted Tuesday a wave of support for Biden, calling him the “right man for this job… President of the United States.”

Cher: ‘I believe Joe Biden is the man for the job.’

The songstress stressed to her 3.7 million followers that: “Sink or swim, I’m with him.

“President Obama chose Joe ‘twice’ for the job because he thought he was the right man for the job.

“I know president Obama thinks Joe’s the right man for this Job… president of the United States.”

She then added in another tweet: “Vote [with] your head and your [heart].

“We hold these truths to be self-evident that ‘all men’, women, children, every colour, ethnicity, rich, poor, sick, healthy, need and sick in spirit, are created equal.

“And must beg given an equal chance from the beginning. I believe Joe’s the man for the job.”

Cher then tweeted out a makeshift poster of her and Biden together with the candidate’s campaign logo above them.

‘Mamma mia, this is a horrible endorsement.’

Reactions to Cher’s firm support for Biden proved divisive, as swathes of fans were forced to unstan the signer as well as making the same joke.
