Laura Marling has announced she has moved up the release date of her new album, Songs for Our Daughter. Originally slated for a summer release, the record will now arrive April 10 via Partisan/Chrysalis. “In light of the change to all our circumstances, I saw no reason to hold back on something that, at the very least, might entertain, and at its best, provide some sense of union,” she wrote in a statement. Marling has also shared a new song, “Held Down.” Find that below.
Marling’s most recent solo album Semper Femina was released in 2017. The following year, she released an album under a new project called LUMP, with Tunng’s Mike Lindsay.
