After they separated, she was in a relationship with another man, who she had another child with, before she met her current girlfriend.

Many LGBT+ people have welcomed Makhene to the LGBT+ community since she came out publicly.

The couple reportedly met in February and their relationship has grown quickly.

The couple have reportedly grown close in a relatively short space of time and they are currently self-isolating together in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Makhene’s girlfriend Lebo Keswa revealed on Twitter that htey met in February while they were celebrating her grandmother’s birthday.

She also shut down homophobic trolls who criticised their relationship.

“Opinions, perceptions, he said, she said, blah, blah, blah, does not define or determine our love for each other,” she wrote.

“For all I care, let them eat cake. She’s my love and that’s all that matters.”
