Final Fantasy 7 pits the player against the demonic Hell House. This guide will help players understand what it takes to defeat it. The Final Fantasy 7 remake builds upon the existing title from the ground up and adds new content, diving deeper into its characters and the world of Midgar. This was one of the most anticipated games to release in 2020, and with its release in April, it has received critical acclaim across the board. Each player praising the game for its beautiful reimagining of Midgar and its new and innovative combat system that has found the perfect harmony between action RPG gameplay and turn-based RPG strategizing. Players who play hyper aggressively like in the Devil May Cry series will find that they will heavily be punished for their playstyle. The game requires that the play thinks before making a move and take advantage of each character move set. No characters play similarly, as each character shines in their own situations. Cloud and Tifa are excellent for racking up damage in short distances while Barret and Aerith function better at a distance. Combining these characters make the game feel well rounded. Although, there is one boss that requires a very specific move set to defeat and that would be the Hell House. This guide will provide players with necessary information on defeating the Hell House in combat.

When arriving at Wall Market, Cloud and Aerith will run into Tifa, who is being submitted for review by Don Corneo, a local underground king who over-sexualized women and treats them as objects. After their final round, Don Corneo approves of a bonus match and here is where Cloud and Aerith are introduced to the Hell House. It rises from the ground and just seems like a normal house. How To Beat The Hell House in Final Fantasy 7

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Hell House Fight

The Hell House is unlike any other enemy in the game, as preparing for this fight comes along with the proper Materia. Not equipping the proper Materia will make this fight almost unplayable. Here is how it works. It’s basically a slightly more complicated game of rock-paper-scissors. The Hell House will use a magical attack and in-order to counter it, the player must use a different magical attack. Players can determine what magical attack the Hell House is about to use by what appears in its windows. Here is how to win against the Hell House.

  • Frost appears in the window: Use Fire Materia to stop it.
  • Fire appears in the window: Use Ice Materia to stop it.
  • Wind appears in the window: Use Thunder Materia to stop it.
  • Thunder appears in the window: Use Wind Materia to stop it.

Make sure to equip each of these Materia to Aerith, as her main function is to play far away from the enemy. Using the right spell will get the Hell House closer to stagger. Make sure to also bring along plenty of Ethers to refill MP since this fight will be using plenty of it. Once the Hell House is staggered, switch back to Cloud and get some physical damage in before it wakes back up.

After being damaged, it will enter its next phase where it begins to fly around the arena. The house will hurl furniture at Cloud and Aerith. Make sure to switch to the character far away from the furniture and let the AI handle it. After a while, boxes will appear in the arena. Inside these boxes contains Mako Shards that help refill MP. Also, make sure to use Aerith’s Limit Break often to heal and keep up with the magic. Repeat this process until the Hell House is defeated.

Defeating the Hell House rewards Madam M with the 1 million gil required to afford Aerith’s dress for submission of Don Corneo. Cloud can now also explore more areas of Wall Market. The way this location had changed so much since the original but at the same time looks exactly the same is a testament to the amount of effort the development team has put into creating the world of Midgar. Not only Wall Market, but the Sector Slums, the sewers, and the train graveyard are all here and better than ever. Final Fantasy 7 remake is only the first part of the expanding saga of the original Final Fantasy 7. The game only plays up to the end of Midgar, whereas in the original game, this part was only about the first 10 hours. Within the remake, Midgar is its entirety and it has been expanded to triple the length, as players have reported completing the game within 30 hours. The future titles of the Final Fantasy 7 remake are completely shrouded in mystery, as the plot and the settings may change when compared to the original game. The ending of the game has left many fans concerned about the future of the remakes. Only time will tell how much these changes will actually impact the story of the game moving forward. Although if the future titles maintain the same gameplay style, many players will be excited to have more things to do with this amazing combat system. The Final Fantasy 7 remake set a new bar for the series moving forward.
