Denise Richards stormed off The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after her co-stars accused her of hiding an affair with Brandi Glanville.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returned for season 10 on Wednesday night (April 15) in typically dramatic fashion.
Denise Richards appeared to quit the show after her co-stars grilled her on her alleged relationship with Brandi Glanville, with tense scenes at the end of the episode showing the cast breaking the fourth wall for the first time.
The premiere opened on a lighter note, with Denise and her fellow housewives flying to New York to support Kyle Richards as she hosted a NYFW show.
Kyle pulled off the spectacle after a series of stumbles, but then announced ominously: “The show was a huge success. We were all so happy that day.
“It’s actually hard to even imagine how terrible things would soon become.”
In a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills first the camera moved behind the scenes of the production, showing Denise announcing that she was finished with the show.
On-screen text explained: “In December, Denise stopped shooting with the group.”
Denise was then seen shouting at Kyle: “Who gives a s***?”
“Well see, if you had been honest…” Kyle hit back.
“I was honest. I have been honest,” Denise responded before storming away from the dinner table.
“I’m done,” she shouted. “No really, I’m done.”

In another tense scene Denise repeated her claim of being done, this time storming off from a garden gathering with her husband Aaron Phypers.
“Don’t say a f**king word,” she warned him. “We’re on camera. Don’t say a f**king word.”
Lisa Rinna teased that Denise has been hiding a bombshell.
“You sign up to show our real lives. You can’t hide anything. Do I think it’s comfortable to talk about my daughter’s eating disorder? No, but that’s life…
“Denise has a secret and no matter how hard you try, the truth always comes out.”

Hinting that the drama could affect her marriage, another shot showed Denise crying to Kyle: “I’m a very married woman. And I love my husband.”
Kyle was then seen calling Lisa to ask her if she’d seen “all the headlines”, before an article flashed on screen reading: “Denise Richards stops filming RHOBH after her passionate months-long affair with Brandi Glanville was exposed by castmates on a trip to Rome.”
“I did,” Lisa replied, before Kyle interjected: “I bet you anything she doesn’t show up for the reunion.”
Lisa continued: “Oh, she’s done. If you ask me, we would never see Denise Richards again.”
The teaser ended with Denise sitting down to talk with producers.
“So Denise, you ready to talk about all of this?” An off-camera voice asked, as she smirked.
Rumours that Denise had an affair with Brandi Glanville first surfaced around the New Year.
Allegedly, the two shared a romance after Denise married Aaron in 2018. Representatives for Denise immediately denied the allegations, but Brandi hinted that the story wasn’t over when she shared a cryptic Instagram post, writing: “When you want to respond but are not ‘allowed’ to…”
