Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker is the latest guest on the Song Exploder podcast. In conversation with host Hrishikesh Hirway, Parker discussed the making of “It Might Be Time” from his latest album The Slow Rush. He plays early versions of the song and isolated stems, and he also sheds light on the writing and recording processes. “The hook kinda sounded like someone teasing someone,” he says. “So then I thought it could be cool to make it like your own subconscious teasing you.” Listen to the full episode below.
Since the release of The Slow Rush, Kevin Parker shared an alternate “Imaginary Place” mix of the album. He also collaborated on a new song with the Streets.
