On the heels of Earth Day, two major forces come together to bring you a sustainable collection just in time to upgrade your WFH living situation. Dropping today, American fashion designer Joseph Altuzarra partnered with Etsy for an exclusive edit of home décor.
“I love nothing more than to be home with my family and friends, so designing for the home felt like something that connected with how I live. The idea of being surrounded by objects and furnishings that bring you peace, joy, and happiness, is so important,” Altuzarra stated in a press release. We can all use a little more joy in while stuck in self-isolation. What better way to do that than with a dog bed that is chicer than yours?
Partnering with eight Etsy makers from around the world, Altuzarra brings his runway aesthetic to the living room. From the beautiful color palettes to terracotta vases, you can spruce up your home while feeling good about supporting small businesses and being eco-friendly.
If these tie-dye pillows look familiar, that’s because a portion of the collection was made using excess materials from Altuzarra’s past collections, bridging the gap between local artisans and luxury fashion. This environmentally conscious approach to design is Etsy’s bread and butter: Last year, Etsy was the first major shopping site to offset 100% of their shipping emissions.
Within the collection you can discover a variety of one-of-a-kind pottery, woven baskets, journals, and more, ranging in price from $30 to $1,700. See our top picks below.
