Lady Gaga: Chromatica [Interscope]
Lady Gaga is following the success of 2018’s A Star Is Born reboot with Chromatica. The singer pushed the album’s release back from April 10 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She told Zane Lowe that the album’s concept was one of inclusivity. She recruited Ariana Grande for a duet on “Rain on Me” and K-pop group BLACKPINK for “Sour Candy.” Elton John joins her on “Sine From Above.” Chromatica was led by “Stupid Love.”

Medhane: Cold Water [self-released]
Cold Water is Brooklyn rapper Medhane’s third release in less than a year, following November 2019’s Own Pace and February 2020’s Full Circle. In his Best New Music review of the new project, Sheldon Pearce writes, “Cold Water feels like putting long-held plans into motion.” Check out the Best New Track review of Cold Water’s lead single “I’m Deadass.”

Deerhoof: Future Teenage Cave Artists [Joyful Noise]
Deerhoof celebrated their 25th anniversary last year, which they marked with several reissues. Now, the band has a new album, Future Teenage Cave Artists, which includes 10 original songs and an interpretation of a Johann Sebastian Bach chorale. Christian Lee Hutson: Beginners [ANTI-]
Phoebe Bridgers produced Christian Lee Hutson’s Beginners, which is also the Los Angeles–based singer-songwriter’s first LP for ANTI- Records. Previously, Hutson co-wrote boygenius’ “Ketchum, ID,” along with two songs on Better Oblivion Community Center. Riverside, California rapper Hook released her debut album BULLY less than a year ago. Now, she’s shared I Love You 2, Hook—her second new release of 2020, following January’s Crashed My Car. Jaime Wyatt: Neon Cross [New West]
Los Angeles–based country artist Jaime Wyatt released her debut EP Felony Blues in 2017 following a run-in with the law. Her new LP Neon Cross deals with “a lot of turmoil and drama,” as Wyatt said in press materials. “But this record is a lot about rebirth, too,” Wyatt added. The 11-track album is produced by country legend Shooter Jennings and features appearances from Jessi Colter, the late Neal Casal, and Jennings himself.
