The Real Housewives of Potomac tag lines are here, and they are amazing. Never doubt the ladies of the Potomac – especially when they get to spill the tea during their opening lines. Season 5 of the reality TV series premieres Sunday, August 2 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

The cameras follow around the ladies who live on the outskirts of Washington, D.C., and their Housewives drama has been off the charts.  The spin-off debuted in 2016 and since then, the ladies have been fighting it out for the title of the top housewife. Last season showed friendships falling apart and old loves reignting. The season 5 trailer has revealed a fight between Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Candiace Bassett, and Monique Samuel, who at one time were close friends.

The long-awaited moment of every new season is upon fans as the Bravo network released the women’s taglines. The stylish ladies of Potomac are back and at their finest. The show is set to premiere in August, and if the trailer is any indication of what is to come, fans should be in for a roller coaster of a season. Gizelle starts off the opening credits by announcing, “I’m still the baddest thing walking, and the most anointed one talking,” with her royal highness, Karen adding, “Honey, the Grand Dame doesn’t repeat history, she makes it.” Monique who found herself in some major fights last season tells viewers, “Maybe if you tried a little harder, you wouldn’t have to try me.”

Newly engaged, Robyn Dixon plays around with her words by saying, “I live in a house full of ballers, but I never get played.” Ashley Darby, who is a new mother and welcomed her son in July of 2019 interjects that “Now that I got my baby, that’s the only crap I take.” And beauty queen, Candiace Dillard Basset adds, “Reading is fundamental, and honey, I own the library.” Naturally, there is always a cog thrown into the works, and in this case, the network decided to add a new girl. Welcome Wendy Osefo, who proudly states, “The professor has arrived, and class is officially in session.”

The season 5 trailer gave fans a short glimpse of what is to come with a startling revelation from Bryant, saying that “we’ve been able to hold ourselves above the stereotype, and in 5 minutes, she took it away.” Viewers get a quick look at what led to the fighting knowing from previous reports that Dillard Bassett and Samuels got into a dinner argument. The video footage shows a producer having to come in between the women to break up the altercation with all of the women screaming. There also seems to be trouble in paradise for Karen and her husband. Of course, a Real Housewives of Potomac season would not be complete without another stripper scandal surrounding Michael Darby, Ashley’s husband. Fans only need to wait one more month before they get all the juicy details.
