A viral video of a guy surprise proposing to his boyfriend has turned us into a blubbering, weeping mess – and serves as a timely reminder that there are good things in the world.

In the video, Cody distracted his boyfriend Brandon by asking him to look at something in the distance. He then quickly got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.

Brandon promptly burst into tears and struggled to get any words out – but he eventually put out his hand for his new fiancé to put the ring on his finger.

The video was recorded in August of last year and shared on TikTok, but blew up on Twitter last week after it was shared on the last day of Pride Month.

Twitter was reduced to tears by the heartwarming, beautiful proposal video.

“Oh my god I’m crying. Beautiful,” one Twitter user commented.

Another person said: “I wish there was a ‘love’ button on Twitter because this is SO beautiful and sweet! Congratulations boys! I hope you have a very long and happy life together!”

I guess you could say, it was such a perfect relationship, they both knew right away and Cody got down on one knee on August 17, 2019 and asked Brandon for his hand in marriage.

Someone else simply said: “Yes you made us all cry!”

Cody and Brandon are now planning to tie the knot on October 24 of this year, according to TheKnot.com.

It was love at first sight when Cody and Brandon met for the first time in March 2019.

On the website, the couple describe their love story as being “not quite like any other”.

They met on Instagram in December 2017 and started “frequently chatting”.

The pair quickly became online friends and they finally met for the first time in March 2019.

When Cody visited Brandon in Virginia, it was love at first sight.

“I guess you could say, it was such a perfect relationship, they both knew right away and Cody got down on one knee on August 17, 2019 and asked Brandon for his hand in marriage,” the website says.

The couple are planning on having two children together and will live in North Carolina, where Cody pratices law.
