The Killers appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night (August 20) to perform “Blowback” from their new album Imploding the Mirage. Check it out below.
Imploding the Mirage was originally scheduled for a May 29 release, but The Killers pushed it back until August 21 due to “delays in finalizing the album,” according to a statement from the band. They’ve shared a handful of songs since announcing the record in March: “Caution,” “Fire in Bone,” “My Own Soul’s Warning,” and “Dying Breed.”
They’ve also made the TV rounds in support of Imploding the Mirage this summer, appearing on Ellen, Fallon, and CBS This Morning, where they also covered Tom Petty. Imploding the Mirage features a number of guests, including Lindsey Buckingham, k.d. lang, Weyes Blood, and the War on Drugs’ Adam Granduciel.
