In a true Christmas miracle, Daniel Newman announced Friday (25 December) that he has joined OnlyFans, but stressed that it won’t be “x-rated”.

The bisexual Walking Dead star and out and proud “dom top” is the latest celebrity to join the platform, which sees users pay for content that can range from pictures to videos.

Newman uploaded 32 photos and videos in less than 24 hours, with some requiring a fee to “unlock” and see the content in full.

“Let’s have some fun!” he wrote on social media, noting that his account on the platform “will be PG to maybe R-rated though.

“Just warning, no X. Merry Christmas (and definitely all photoshopped!).”

It came after Newman, 39, joked earlier this month what his “OnlyFans handle name should be”, with users suggesting everything from “Daniel Nudeman” to “OnlyDans”.

He later tweeted out a jerry-rigged photo of his face imposed on some, well, men who aren’t exactly dressed for the cold weather as a hint of what his account would be stuffed with.

Daniel Newman isn’t the only celebrity on OnlyFans

Daniel Newman is the latest big name to join OnlyFans. While fans often welcome the chance to have a more intimate relationship with celebrities, sex workers have reacted to the increasing number of public figures joining OnlyFans with unease and, at times, anger.

Rapper Cardi B, singer Tyler Posey, model Amber Rose and Bella Thorne are among other celebrities to use OnlyFans.

Thorne drew thorny responses in August 2020 when, within 24 hours of joining the subscription service, she made around $1 million.

Not only was she criticised for taking opportunities from sex workers, the thumping profit and allegedly charging $200 for a “nude” photograph forced OnlyFans to cap the amount content-creators can charge for pay-per-view materials, plunging many of its users, mainly sex workers, into jeopardy.

The pansexual former Disney star later issued an apology for “hurting” OnlyFans creators: “Remove the stigma behind sex, sex work, and the negativity that surrounds the word SEX itself by bringing a mainstream face to it,” she wrote on Twitter.

“That’s what I was trying to do, to help bring more faces to the site to create more revenue for content creators on the site.”
