If there’s one couple that never lets the drama on season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé ever dip, it’s Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva. While fans thought Mike and Natalie had broken up for good in season 7 with her throwing away his ring, them coming back for TLC round 2 was a shocking surprise. But not only did Mike and Natalie return with a plot that’s gone from bad to worse, but they also show no signs yet of intending to marry, as spoilers suggest. But their latest fight about Natalie calling Mike’s ex-wife “low class” seems to be the biggest for the 90 Day Fiancé couple yet.
All of season 7 which had Mike traveling to Kyiv to stay with Natalie and her mother, had the 90 Day Fiancé relationship in knots. With Mike struggling to pay his $30k debt, he claimed he wasn’t ready to start a family as his 90 Day Fiancé lover wanted. In spite of Natalie admitting that she’d left her ex-husband because of him not wanting children, Mike clearly didn’t show concern. To top it all, the couple had different opinions on religion, with Mike believing in aliens, and Natalie throwing away her ring by claiming that he’d cheated on her. With that 90 Day Fiancé season 7 hatchet buried, Natalie, now in America, thinks that Mike is not prepared for their wedding due within 90 days, and neither is his small-town Sequim, Washington, life suiting her. The Ukrainian Natalie oddly keeps complaining about Mike’s house being “constantly cold” while the latest drama between the 90 Day Fiancé couple is about each other’s “class.” But who’s Mike’s ex-wife and has he spoken about her before?

It was when 90 Day Fiancé’s Mike’s friend Matt along with his wife Stevlana welcomed their baby girl Pollyanna that he met Natalie who was the godparent just like him. Watching Natalie’s glamorous photos made Mike fall for Natalie who was a divorcee just like him, and he proposed to her within three weeks of meeting in Ukraine. But before Mike’s heart was stolen by 90 Day Fiancé star Natalie, it was also broken by his ex-wife. While speaking of starting his new life at the Sequim farm bachelor pad with Uncle Bojangles on season 7, Mike had revealed shocking details about his past.
The 90 Day Fiancé star Mike confessed to having always wanting to be married and have a family life as he shared what went wrong with his ex-wife. “It was a short marriage, unfortunately,” said Mike and added that his wife had left him for another woman. The way that Mike’s marriage ended unexpectedly, he felt a sense of loneliness and while going through the divorce he put on 340 pounds. “I was way bigger than I felt comfortable in my own skin,” said the 90 Day Fiancé star, while sharing that he made life changes like exercising and changing his diet to lose 80 pounds. It was after losing weight and dating a couple of people that Mike finally met his 90 Day Fiancé and life partner Natalie.
With Mike already having been through a terrible first marriage experience, him taking time to figure things out with Natalie seems somewhat understandable. But then again, Natalie talking about him and his ex-wife being “low class” certainly hit a raw nerve for Mike. Still, knowing that Mike and Natalie are married, how they settle their differences while walking towards the altar is what their next 90 Day Fiancé episodes are going to be all about.
90 Day Fiancé airs Sundays at 8pm EST on TLC.
