‘Hardcore Henry’ Director’s Action-Thriller ‘Nobody’ Now Releasing One Week Earlier

Horror

Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) is an (unlikely) ass-kicking vigilante in Nobody, the new action-thriller from director Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry). Nobody had originally been scheduled to release in theaters on April 2, but that date has slightly shifted this week.

Nobody will now release in theaters a tad bit earlier, on March 26. Universal Pictures is likely looking to give the film some distance from Godzilla vs. Kong, releasing on March 31.

Emmy winner Bob Odenkirk stars as Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life’s indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody.

When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake (Gage Munroe), is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen), seems to pull only further away.

The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch’s long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists, gunfire and squealing tires, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary (Alexey Serebryakov)—and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody again.

Christopher Lloyd, RZA and Paisley Cadorath also star.

Derek Kolstad (writer of the John Wick movies) wrote the script, and Kelly McCormick & David Leitch (Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, Hobbs & Shaw) produced Nobody.
