Fresh off writing The Batman for Warner Bros/DC, Mattson Tomlin has set up his feature directorial debut, a sci-fi/thriller starring Chloe Grace Moretz titled Mother/Android.

Deadline provides a fresh update on the project today, announcing that Hulu has acquired the U.S. rights to the Miramax film. It’s set to premiere on Hulu later this year.

“Moretz is set to star as Georgia who, with her boyfriend Sam (Algee Smith), goes on a treacherous journey to escape their country, which is caught in an unexpected war with artificial intelligence. Days away from the arrival of their first child, the couple must face No Man’s Land— a stronghold of the android uprising, in hopes of reaching safety before giving birth.”

The Batman director Matt Reeves will produce through 6th & Idaho.
