Along with the official trailer we also got the first poster art for Sony’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage yesterday, and an international version has come along today that’s a bit different.
Whereas Carnage’s teeth were prominently featured on the U.S. art, allowing us to look at Venom from the perspective of Carnage’s mouth, the international take removes Carnage’s gaping maw entirely. Instead, we get a clear shot of Venom wrapped in Carnage’s red tendrils.
Check out both versions of the poster art below!
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be opening wide in theaters on September 24.
Venom 2 is directed this time by Andy Serkis with Tom Hardy returning as Eddie Brock, who is of course also the alien symbiote known as Venom. Woody Harrelson, who popped up as Cletus Kasady in the first film’s post-credits scene, ultimately becomes Carnage in the film.
Michelle Williams is also back, with Naomie Harris co-starring as Shriek.
