Loki: Every Main Character, Ranked By Likability | ScreenRant

*Spoiler Warning: This list contains plot details from the season finale of Loki*

With the first two MCU shows on Disney+, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, multiple established characters were at the center. The third series, Loki, did not have that luxury. Only the titular God of Mischief was known before things began, with Lady Sif being the only other existing character to cameo.

However, the show has worked because Loki, along with the new characters introduced, are interesting. Some are villains who the audience is meant to hate, while others are heroes or at least anti-heroes who are entertaining. Most of them have had a standout moment or two throughout the series.

12 Ravonna Renslayer

Loki Episode 2 Ravonna Renslayer

For the first few episodes, it was difficult to pinpoint an actual antagonist. The Loki variants turned out to not really be so bad, especially compared to the Loki that everyone knows. The fourth episode also revealed that the Timekeepers aren’t who everyone thought they were, leaving Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) as the main villain.

That makes her unlikable on the surface but it goes deeper. It’s understandable that she was led to believe what she was doing was right but unlike other TVA members, even when she finds out there are lies going around, she keeps pushing forward. She turned on Mobius, a supposed friend, and took joy in what she did to Sylvie, mocking her about it.

11 Boastful Loki

Loki Episode 5 Boastful Loki

The post-credits scene in episode four revealed that Loki was confronted by several other variants. Although many were seen in the Void, four stood out including the alligator Loki. Among them was Boastful Loki (DeObia Oparei), who bragged about holding all of the Infinity Stones during his life.

While that clearly made him a powerful being, it was hard to like him. Boastful Loki was indeed braggadocious but he also never really acted like a hero. Instead, he was quick to turn on his close allies which was in typical Loki fashion but still worse than some other variants.

10 Hunter C-20

In the early stages of the series, Hunter C-20 (Sasha Lane) seemed like someone who would get more screen time. As a TVA Hunter, she went after the Loki variant, only to be kidnapped by her. When she was found captive, her mind seemed to be fragile at best.

The revelation that memories from her past were used by Sylvie to get into her head made her sympathetic. Hunter C-20 was a variant with a life before the TVA but as soon as she found out, the TVA killed her. As far as the audience knows, she seemed nice enough but really didn’t get a chance to show much.

9 Miss Minutes

Miss Minutes in Loki

It’s kind of tough to consider an animated mascot a character but Miss Minutes (Tara Strong) appears more than enough to be a fully realized character. Since the TVA are basically the villains of the series, Miss Minutes’ work for them does hurt her likability to an extent.

That being said, she’s a fun character with a cheery demeanor who is always enjoyable to see on the screen. At first, it doesn’t seem like she has much control over what she’s allowed to do, but a more sinister side was shown in the finale alongside He Who Remains.

8 Kid Loki

Loki Episode 5 Kid Loki

Along with the alligator and Boastful Loki, Kid Loki (Jack Veal) was introduced in the Void. According to the other variants, Kid Loki actually considering himself the king and they don’t seem to argue much with that claim. It displays just how impressive this variant truly is.

Viewers also couldn’t help but be intrigued at the fact that his Nexus event was created when he killed Thor, which stopped Loki in his tracks. Kid Loki showed more loyalty than Boastful Loki, remaining at the side of his friends and doing his part to help the main Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius escape.

7 Hunter B-15

Loki Episode 1 Hunter B-15

Unlike Hunter C-20, Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) was very unlikeable when the show began. She seemed like the kind of hunter who would shoot first and ask questions later, constantly giving Mobius and Loki grief. It made her someone that the audience didn’t want to root for.

However, that changed when she was given a look into her past by Sylvie. From that point on, Hunter B-15 understood that something was wrong at the TVA and she worked to find out more about it. Once it was confirmed, she stood up to the Timekeepers with Loki and Sylvie in heroic fashion.

6 Classic Loki

Loki Episode 5 Classic Loki Laughing

The mere sight of Classic Loki (Richard E. Grant) was enough to make fans want to see more of him. The ridiculous costume that he wore induced laughter from any viewer but that was only the beginning. His story about escaping Thanos and surviving on a lonely planet made him sympathetic.

Then, when it came time to help Loki and Sylvie, he did the unthinkable. Classic Loki used all of his power to distract Alioth with an incredible illusion of Asgard. He not only stepped up as a hero but he also gave his life to do so, which is something most Lokis would avoid doing.

5 He Who Remains

Loki Episode 6 Kang He Who Remains

The season kept building up to the Time Keepers but the fifth episode revealed that they weren’t actually running the TVA. That turned out to be He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), the man at the end of The Void who spent the entire finale explaining his history and why he did what we did.

Although He Who Remains should be classified as a villain, he was likable because of how much fun it was to watch him on screen. He seemed to relish having an audience and delivered every bit of explanation with plenty of vigor in an entertaining fashion. Although he did terrible things, you kind of understood where he was coming from given how he wanted to protect from a greater evil.

4 Mobius M. Mobius

Loki Episode 4 Mobius In The Time Theater

One of the best things about Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) is simply watching him interact with Loki. The two have fantastic chemistry and it doesn’t seem to matter what they do because it’ll be entertaining. Mobius also gets likability points for how much he believes in Loki and their budding friendship.

Though he stuck to his TVA beliefs at first, it didn’t take long for him to investigate and figure things out on his own. Even after getting pruned, he still fought for his friend in the Void and attempted to reveal the truth about the TVA. Plus, his love for jetskis is adorable.

3 Sylvie

Loki Episode 5 Sylvie At The TVA

The entire reason that Loki was brought into the TVA was to help stop a Loki variant who was attacking the Sacred Timeline. That turned out to be Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), a female variant who immediately proved to be more than the main Loki could handle in a fight or a battle of wits.

Sylvie has been wildly engaging in every scene, especially relating to her bond with Loki. She had her life taken from her as a kid by the TVA, giving her motivation and making fans feel sympathy. Sylvie has proven herself to be brave, sharp, funny, and compassionate, which are all likable qualities. However, she hurt herself in the finale by going through with killing He Who Remains, changing the face of the MCU going forward.

2 Loki

Loki Episode 5 Loki Enchanting

In a lot of cases, the most likable character is the titular protagonist but that’s not quite the case here. Obviously, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is still great to see though. He’s the mischievous guy fans knew from the early MCU days but he sees what his future was set to be and became a better person for it.

He goes from wanting to rule the TVA to trying to take it down because it’s the right thing to do. The bonds that he forms with Sylvie and Mobius are among the tightest he has in the MCU and it shows his growth. On top of that, Loki is still quick with a quip and delivers sarcastic lines that are always fun. In the end, even when Sylvie likely did the wrong thing, Loki tried to steer her down the right path.

1 Alligator Loki

The level of admiration for Alligator Loki is one of those things that would be incredibly difficult to explain to someone without much reference for the MCU. When Loki reached The Void and saw the other variants, he never expected that one wouldn’t even be human.

Yet there was Alligator Loki, hanging out with Boastful, Classic, and Kid Loki. Though they couldn’t be understood, they had a clear friendship with the fellow Lokis, remained loyal to them, and showed toughness by biting off the hand of President Loki. It was exactly the kind of oddity that is perfect for this show.
