“Chucky”: Six New Images from the ‘Child’s Play’ Series Preview the Killer Doll’s Small Screen Debut!

With the entire trilogy now streaming on Netflix, Waxwork Records has announced today that the soundtracks for all three Fear Street movies are being released on vinyl.

Coolest of all, the art for each film pays tribute to the classic illustrations found on the covers of R.L. Stine‘s original books, which Leigh Janiak‘s movies are of course based on.

Available for pre-order now, the deluxe triple LP features the score music composed for the three installments in the Netflix horror film trilogy based on R.L. Stine’s best-selling horror series. The first score featured on this release, Fear Street Part 1: 1994, starts off this expansive album with tracks composed by MARCO BELTRAMI and MARCUS TRUMPP.

Also featured are the scores for Fear Street Part 2: 1978 by Beltrami and Brandon Roberts and Fear Street Part 3: 1666 by Beltrami, Anna Drubich and Trumpp. Features include 180 gram colored vinyl, liner notes by Fear Street director and writer Leigh Janiak, and new artwork by Sam Gilbey that pays homage to the classic 1990’s Fear Street book covers.

“The great thing about the Fear Street trilogy is that all of the movies take place in different time periods, and Leigh really encouraged me to lean into that aspect,” says composer MARCO BELTRAMI, who worked across all three installments in the film trilogy. “The first film installment, 1994, was heavily inspired by the Scream trilogy movies of Wes Craven, so I was able to revisit the scores that gave me my start in this business. In the second film, 1978, we got to channel the iconic scores of Jerry Goldsmith and his use of woodwinds and percussion in the orchestra. It was a great opportunity to flex this muscle without using any synthesizers. The third movie, 1666, is, ironically, perhaps the most modern score of the bunch. It’s a stripped-down ensemble of a nonet of strings, percussion, choir and electronics. Overall, throughout the course of the past year, Marcus, Brandon, Anna and I wrote over four hours of music, all of it inspired by our amazingly talented director Leigh Janiak! We hope you will enjoy.”

You can grab the three-soundtrack set through Waxwork Records for $50!
