Friday the 13th fans take note of this exclusive new look at X, A24’s porn-themed slasher that hails from horror favorite Ti West (The Roost, The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers, V/H/S).
Ti West makes a long-awaited return to horror with X, a brand new horror movie being distributed by the arthouse horror masters over at A24 (The Witch, Hereditary, Midsommar). It will have its World Premiere at the forthcoming SXSW this coming Sunday before opening wide in theaters everywhere on March 18th.
The above exclusive photo gives us a taste of the carnage that will ensue, teasing death by pitchfork, which looks like an homage to several Jason Voorhees kills in the Friday the 13th films.
X takes place in 1979 where a group of young filmmakers set out to make an adult film in rural Texas, “but when their reclusive, elderly hosts catch them in the act, the cast soon find themselves in a desperate fight for their lives.”
Brittany Snow (Prom Night) will star alongside Mia Goth (Suspiria), Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi) (“Creepshow”), Martin Henderson (The Ring), Owen Campbell (Super Dark Times), Stephen Ure (Deathgasm), and Scream‘s Jenna Ortega in the A24-produced and financed project.
