The Mandalorian TikTok Video Shows Grogu Annoyed By Mando’s Snoring

Movies

A TikTok video based on The Mandalorian shows Grogu getting annoyed by Din Djarin’s snoring. Ever since their first meeting in the series’ first episode, Din (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu (Baby Yoda) have developed one of Star Wars‘ most endearing father-son relationships. From Grogu saving Din from a mudhorn in Chapter 2 to Din breaking his Creed to save Grogu in Chapter 15, there’s nothing they wouldn’t do for each other. In The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu even chose to remain with Din over completing his training as a Jedi, reuniting the pair for the upcoming The Mandalorian season 3.

These sweet moments have also come with quite a few comedic ones. “Chapter 10: The Passenger” saw Din desperately trying to get sleep and attempting to get Grogu, who was simply too wrapped up in trying to eat the Frog Lady’s unfertilized eggs, to do the same. This even got the armored warrior to utter the words “nap time” as he tried to get the little green foundling to sleep. Evidently, the chaos of crashing on ice planet Maldo Kreis and getting chased by ice spiders kept interrupting these sleep attempts, which culminated into the crew’s nap that concluded Chapter 10 and opened Chapter 11. Much of this led Pascal himself to believe that Din had a snoring problem, as he mentioned in an interview leading up to the release of The Mandalorian season 2. He shared this fun fact and said that he woke up to Grogu looking at him in the morning “like, dude, you’re snoring again.”

Now, a TikTok video made by markcannatarofilms pokes fun at exactly what Pascal himself had described. It shows Din, fully armored, tucked underneath blankets and sleeping with a loud snoring sound that has long since been a popular TikTok audio. The video pans over to Grogu, who sleeps beside Din with his own Leia-themed pillow and blanket. The little one reaches for a pair of Leia bun earmuffs to muffle his father’s snoring and go back to sleep with an adorably annoyed expression. Including Din and Grogu in this classic dad meme about snoring highlights the impact of their father-son relationship. This has been the heartbeat of The Mandalorian thus far, with Din taking care of Grogu in all the ways he must’ve wanted to be cared for in the aftermath of losing his parents. Almost every step of Din’s journey through the series has been focused entirely on Grogu and how Din can best provide for him and his future as a Jedi. With that journey seemingly coming to a close for now, thanks to Grogu’s decision in The Book of Boba Fett to remain with his father, the focus of the show is taking a turn and is set back on its titular character.

Din’s The Mandalorian season 3 journey will be very transformative, as there are many personal things he’ll be facing in his upcoming adventures. His acquisition of the Darksaber has encouraged him to learn how to wield the weapon, which is something that will only be possible once his mind is no longer clouded, as the Armorer shared in The Book of Boba Fett. Din also still has yet to deal with the identity crisis earned from meeting other Mandalorians who remove their helmets, especially in the aftermath of being banished by his tribe for removing his to save and see Grogu. It’s likely that the living waters beneath Mandalore the Armorer mentioned will become the turning point in this journey for Din, though there is still much about The Mandalorian season 3 and Din’s adventures that’s remaining under wraps. What viewers can rely on is that Grogu will be there alongside Din every step of the way, no matter how loudly his father snores.
