New Gameplay Footage for ‘The Callisto Protocol’ Shows off the Game’s Shotgun in Action [Video]

Horror

December can’t come fast enough for those itching to get their hands on Striking Distance Studios’ The Callisto Protocol. Game Informer knows it, and has posted a new video with CEO and founder of Striking Distance Studios, Glen Schofield. Of course, the video also shows off new gameplay footage for The Callisto Protocol, for those who love their eye candy.

In the interview, Glen kicks things off by going back to the beginning, talking about his desire to start a new studio after his departure from Activision, as well as starting a new IP. “First off, I took some time off in between Activision and [Striking Distance Studios]. One of the things I did was I went down to the desert in Tuscon.” It was in the desert in Tuscon while drawing that Glen came up with the idea for The Callisto Protocol.

Interspersed with the interview are gameplay footage from The Callisto Protocol, showing the game’s protagonist, Jacob Lee, making his way through the hallways of Jupiter’s dead moon, encountering the mutated Biophage. Jacob’s not unarmed in these encounters, which allows us to see the devastating effects of the game’s shotgun at close range.

The Callisto Protocol arrives December 2 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. And don’t forget to plunk down some cash for the GameStop-exclusive Collector’s Edition.
