It turns out, season one was just an amuse-bouche.
Critics and patrons alike ate up The Bear when it premiered back in June, but it sounds like the upcoming second season will be even more delicious.
Fresh off Jeremy Allen White‘s Golden Globe win for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy, co-showrunner Christopher Storer dug into what’s to come of the FX on Hulu series at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Jan. 12.
“It almost feels like season one was sort of, ‘Let’s catch up,’ and season two is sort of like where the show properly begins, once we’ve met everyone and seen their backstory,” Storer dished, according to TV Line. “So, it’s been cool to just expand the world and just learn more about them.”
“Season two, it’s about balance in a lot of ways,” he added, “between time and what it means to start fresh and how you can start in a healthy direction.”
