Kin Season 2: Cast, Plot, Premiere Date, and Everything Else There is to Know

Television

Kin burst onto our screens over two years ago, grabbed our attention, and never let go.

The Irish drama was bursting with talent, stunning cinematography, and fine writing.

It’s hard to believe we’ve been waiting this long for Kin Season 2, but there are plenty of details out there about it.

Below, we’ve rounded up everything we know about Kin Season 2.

Kin Season 2 Premiere Date

Given that Kin Season 1 premiered in fall 2021 on AMC+, it seemed inevitable the follow-up season wouldn’t be too far behind.

The series was a big success for AMC+ and RTE in Ireland, but sadly, we’re still awaiting a confirmed premiere date.

Kin Season 2 premiered in Ireland way back in March, meaning that it’s surprising we’re still waiting for a premiere date from AMC.

The streaming service still plans on airing the series, but we’re being told that won’t be until 2024.

Given that Kin Season 1 only recently launched in the UK, there’s a chance we could get the second season around the same time as the UK.

Kin Season 3 Renewal Status

Given that the show has been a resounding hit in every territory it has launched, it’s no surprise that Kin has been renewed for Season 3.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Will Help or Hinder the Franchise

The news gets even better: Kin Season 4 is also a go.

Sunday World reported earlier this year that the third and fourth seasons were filmed back-to-back.

That’s a massive vote of confidence in the series and will keep it on the air for a while.

Kin Season 2 Cast: Who’s In?

Kin boasts an A+ cast, and thanks to the series already airing in Ireland, we can reveal who’s coming back.

– Aidan Gillen as Frank Kinsella

– Sam Keeley as Eric Kinsella

– Yasmin Seky as Nikita Murphy

– Emmett J. Scanlan as Jimmy Kinsella

– Charlie Cox as Michael Kinsella

– Clare Dunne as Amanda Kinsella

– Maria Doyle Kennedy as Bridget Goggins

Additionally, Francis Magee (Brendan Kinsella) and Danielle Galligan (Molly) have been upped to series regulars for Kin Season 2.

Kin Season 2 Plot Details

The Kinsellas spent much of Kin Season 1 trying to evade their rival, Eamon Cunningham.

There was plenty of bloodshed, but ultimately, the family prevailed.

Stranger Things Season 5: Everything We Know

However, things took quite a turn when a Turkish cartel revealed that the Kinsellas now had to pay them what Eamon owed them.

That should lead to plenty of drama because there were several points in which the Kinsellas overplayed their hand.

But Eamon was determined to wipe them out, meaning there was little they could do but kill him first if that was on the table.

Now that the family has to get acclimated to the fact that their brief moment of calling the shots is over, they’ll have to learn how to work together again.

We saw shades of the past come through the Kinsellas on Kin Season 1, but each family member seems to hold on to resentment.

Many took matters into their own hands without considering the consequences, so it’s a miracle that more of them didn’t die by the end of the season.

They’re a dynamic family, and I can’t wait to see what tricks they have up their sleeve when the show returns.

Kin Season 2: Is There a Trailer?

Thanks to the show already airing in Ireland, a spoilerific trailer teases what’s on the line for the family when the show returns.

Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2: Everything We Know

If you thought the family was close to being on the same page on Kin Season 1 Episode 8, it will come as a surprise to you.

This show is infused with betrayal every step of the way, and plenty is on the horizon.

The promo also tees up the shocks in-store because they were plentiful throughout the freshman run.

How far is too far? Check out the footage below.

Where Can I Watch Kin?

Kin is an AMC+ exclusive series in the U.S., so you’ll have to sign up to watch the episodes as they play out stateside.

There is a chance they could make their way to the linear AMC channel, as many other shows have done in the past.

But there will likely be a window of exclusivity on AMC+ when the show returns.

Beyond the U.S., the series is airing on BBC iPlayer in the UK, with all episodes being made available recently.

Ireland, of course, is airing the show on RTE, with episodes being added to RTE player for those of you who like to watch TV on your terms.

What are you most excited about when the series returns?
