‘Fall’ Stars Virginia Gardner and Grace Caroline Currey Reunite for ‘The Breed’ Remake

Horror

Described as a “musical horror-thriller,” Variety reports today that the upcoming movie Art of a Hit has been acquired by Giant Pictures for 2024 release here in North America.

The film “follows a ’90s rock band frontman grappling with irrelevance. An eccentric producer invites the band to his French chateau to record, where they encounter unexpected challenges.”

Art of a Hit takes everything we love about the late ‘90s and early 2000s rock scene and jams it into a wildly creepy castle in the most beautiful place on earth: Dordogne, France. It’s funny, scary, messed up and honest — a story about what it’s like to be in a band and the insane fears of trying to make it as an artist. If you love late 90s rock, if you loved being in a band, you will love Art of a Hit,” director Gaelan Draper and co-writer/star Charlie Saxton said.

Ryan Donowho (“The O.C.”), Charlie Saxton (“Hung”), Tim Jo (“This Is Us”), Rob Raco (“Riverdale”), James Earl (“White Men Can’t Jump”), Allie MacDonald (“What/If”) and David Valdes (“Last the Night”) star in the film, featuring an original soundtrack by Jets to Brazil.

Giant Pictures is planning to release Art of a Hit on streaming this Fall.
