Second ‘Alan Wake II’ DLC “The Lake House” Arrives This October

Horror

Fans of Inscryption have a new title to keep an eye on with Stately Snail’s Is This Game Trying to Kill Me?, a first-person puzzle horror game inspired by Daniel Mullins Games’ indie hit. Only this time, instead of playing cards, you’re trapped in a cabin with a computer that share a strange connection.

As mentioned, Is This Game Trying to Kill Me? sees you having wandered into a cabin deep in the forest during a rainstorm. Unfortunately, the owner has decided that you’re not quite free to leave. Instead, the owner suggests playing a computer game in exchange for freedom. If you can win the game, a reward awaits you. Lose, and you’ll have to stay a bit longer than you planned.

As with Inscyption, Is This Game Trying to Kill Me? has a “game within a game” motif, with you having to not only play the computer game, but also perform tasks and puzzles around the cabin in order to progress within the game and “the game”. There are, of course, multiple ways to die as a result, but there are also multiple endings available to you. It’s all wrapped up in a unique visual aesthetic (once again, much like Inscryption).

Is This Game Trying to Kill Me? looks to release on Steam this November.

Thanks to 80 Level for the heads up!
