Congratulations are in order! Hayley Kiyoko and Becca Tilley have announced their engagement after celebrating seven years together.
Kiyoko, affectionately known as “Lesbian Jesus”, took to social media on Thursday (10 July) to share that she popped the question to her long-term partner Tilley.Celebrating her fiancée, the “Girls Like Girls” singer told fans, “My dream girl said yes to forever.”
“The love of my life,” Kiyoko added on her Instagram story.
The Instagram post featured several stunning photos of their engagement as captured by photographer Yik Keat in front of the crystal clear waters of Mallorca, Spain.
The pair then commemorated the moment with a romantic swim in the sea, sharing a kiss while Tilley held up her ring.
Other images of the happy couple included a glimpse of Tilley’s impressive sparkler, a large “natural Cushion Diamond set in a Cathedral Whisper Thin” band, as per Ring Concierge.
The “Feelings” hitmaker and The Bachelor star met in 2018 at Kiyoko’s album release party for Expectations. The couple made their relationship public in 2022 after Tilley appeared in the singer’s music video that same year, “For The Girls”.
Speaking on a 2022 podcast episode, Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad, Tilley thanked Kiyoko for helping her to “feel brave” before going public with their relationship.
“I was not prepared for the amount of love and support that we got,” she said. “Like, I just could have never predicted.”
Despite waiting to tell the public about their relationship, Tilley reiterated that their friends and family were always supportive of them.
“We were very much ourselves. We held hands in public. We kiss. If I met someone … I introduce her [as] my girlfriend, Hayley.
“I really made an effort to make sure that there was that distinction between private and secret.”
