Get in and buckle up, as it’s almost time to start your engines: the first trailer for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season seven is here.
The official Drag Race UK social media pages posted a seconds-long clip featuring some of the new cast of queens dolled up in an abundance of tulle, rhinestones and glitter.
“Start your engines,” the short clip teases.
In the video’s caption, the BBC confirmed that Drag Race fans will get to see the full line-up of queens competing in season seven on Friday 22 August.
The post also confirmed that season seven will be “coming soon” to streaming service BBC iPlayer.
It is yet to be confirmed whether season seven will also stream on BBC Three, as the previous six seasons have done.
Past seasons of Drag Race UK have begun airing in September, and typically stream weekly until late November.
“Eeeeeek! So exciting,” commented Drag Race UK season five runner-up Michael Marouli.
“Oh mamma I’m ready to rev my engines I’m ready for the ride,” wrote singer Kian Butler.
A fan of the spin-off reality series added: “IT’S ALMOST MY FAVE TIME OF YEAR I FEEL MY POWERS RESTORING!!!!!!!”
“HELLOOOOO SISTERS!” shared season six star and fifth-place competitor Charra Tea.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season six saw Lancashire-born drag star Kyran Thrax take the title of the UK’s next drag superstar, after beating off stiff competition from British drag legend and four-time challenge winner, La Voix.
Season six was lauded as one of the “best” in the franchise, thanks to its impressive Snatch Game, expert acting challenges, and fan favourite competitors in Lill, Marmalade, and Rileasa Slaves.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is currently streaming on BBC iPlayer.
