Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 2-09-26 Promise Big Changes And Valentine’s Day Soapiness
Television

Some big changes are ahead for Salem and its residents, and I’m thrilled about one in particular.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 2-09-26 promise moves in and out of Salem… and a few Valentine’s Day surprises.

This is all welcome news, even if there is some more Stefano-related nonsense this week, too.

Valentine’s Day Can Be Too Sappy, But This Year It Seems Acceptable

Sometimes, soaps treat Valentine’s Day too much like the Hallmark card holiday it’s become.

I’m not a fan of those types of sudden romances where everything is wrapped up neatly so two people can be together — if I wanted that, there are quite a few movies that fit the bill.

However, Days of Our Lives is built on the twin pillars of family and romance, so Valentine’s Day stories help return the show to its roots.

I’m especially excited for Julie’s story this year (and no, she’s not going to be paired with Foster, at least not for Valentine’s Day!)

The Widows Reminisce About Valentine’s Days Past

Julie, Maggie, and Marlena will meet to reminisce about past Valentine’s Day experiences.

That could easily get depressing, since the three women are all recent widows.

I don’t think this story will go there, though.

Instead, I expect lots of flashbacks — or, at least, retellings of favorite stories that make us feel as if we’re reminiscing right along with the three ladies.

This type of nostalgia is one of the things that Days of Our Lives does best.

When older characters gather to reminisce, it is always a treat for those who remember the earlier storylines and characters — and a great introduction for those who are new to Days of Our Lives.

Meanwhile, Eli is Moving Back To Salem

When Eli and Lani first began on Days of Our Lives, I didn’t enjoy either of them very much, but now I’m thrilled that their family is moving back.

Eli is usually one of the most competent cops in Salem, and there is even more of a shortage of those than usual, so it’ll be great for him to be out here investigating, whether that’s with Rafe or with the Salem PD.

I’m not sure what kind of storyline opportunities there will be for Lani, but she’s at her best when she’s supporting Theo and Abe — and when she hangs out with Kristen, sparks always fly.

Their relationship could easily become romantic, but even if it stays platonic, it adds life to the show and makes both characters more interesting.

Plus, I’d love Lani’s take on Kristen’s revenge plans and insistence on taking Rachel out of Bayview.

Lani has often pulled Kristen back from the brink, and I’m curious as to whether she will do that again this time.

Speaking of Which, There’s More Nonsense Ahead In the Rachel Story

Kristen gets a shock on Days of Our Lives during the week of 1-05-26
(Peacock/Screenshot)

I have mixed feelings about Kristen’s insistence that Rachel leave Bayview.

She’s right that that hospital, if you can even call it that, is extremely negligent.

I HATE siding with her because at least half of Rachel’s problem is having Kristen as a role model, and Kristen’s recent behavior has done nothing to change my mind.

However, Dr. Gregory is completely failing at keeping Rachel and Sophia apart. She couldn’t even set a limit when Holly said that Rachel said to say hi to Sophia.

I just wish Kristen would get her point across without resorting to ultimatums.

Brady loses his job on Days of Our Lives during the week of 1-05-26
(Peacock/Screenshot)

Yes, Brady should get his own place. And yes, Rachel should be somewhere other than a hospital that isn’t helping her.

But it shouldn’t be because Kristen is using Rachel as a weapon to get her way. That is so inappropriate and doesn’t do anything to help Rachel’s mental health.

Nobody Is Going to Look Good In This Regard Next Week

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 2-09-26 say that Belle, Brady, and Marlena will lambast Kristen.

Rachel begs Brady not to leave her here while a nurse looks in on them on Days of Our Lives during the week of 12-01-25
(Peacock/Screenshot)

Does she deserve it? Probably.

But ganging up on her doesn’t make the Black side of the family look mature either, and Marlena should know better, even if her kids don’t.

Later in the week, Kristen will propose joint custody, but with what conditions?

I don’t want Kristen controlling Brady’s life and pretending it’s about Rachel, and if she insists that Rachel drop the idea of telling the judge the truth, that won’t do either.

There is Also A Lot of Movement on the DiMera Front

The whole Stefano memorial story is silly, considering how long ago Stefano died, and I could have done without the implication that he’s blowing candles out from beyond the grave (or worse, returning… let’s hope not!)

EJ annoys Johnny on Days of Our Lives during the week of 2-02-26
(Peacock/Screenshot)

Still, there is a certain elegance to EJ acting as Stefano 2.0 —he’s more himself in this role than when trying to pretend to have turned over a new leaf or that he’s a decent human being.

Rolf will give EJ Stefano’s ring this week, which seals the deal: EJ is the new Stefano.

Hopefully, this time we can avoid that nonsense that happened when Chad put on Stefano’s ring and acted as if he had become possessed by Stefano.

Speaking of which, Chad is going to make plans to move out of Salem with the kids (yes, minutes after agreeing that he’d have custody of them in Salem, but they’d go to Boston for holidays)

Chad tells Cat he's leaving Salem on Days of Our Lives during the week of 2-09-26
(Peacock/Screenshot)

This is likely a very temporary exit in order to do some cast-switching magic, as Billy Flynn and Cary Christopher are both leaving Days of Our Lives soon.

Chad’s exit keeps him away from Cat for the time being, but also opens the door for EJ and Cat to get closer, which I don’t need.
