It’s “Night of the Living Dead for the digital age” in the trailer for Didn’t Die.
Directed by Meera Menon (“The Walking Dead,” “For All Mankind”), the character-driven horror-comedy premiered at Sundance 2025.
Set in the not-so-distant future, a young podcaster, Vinita, struggles to maintain her dwindling audience amidst the zombie apocalypse.
To make matters worse, the undead are beginning to mutate and become more powerful. When her ex-boyfriend shows up with an orphaned baby, it becomes all that much more important that Vinita and her family do what it takes to survive.

Menon penned the script with cinematographer Paul Gleason. They produce alongside Erica Fishman and Joe Camerota.
“I’m drawn to the question of what still makes life worth living when everything else has come undone,” said Menon. “Being an indie filmmaker right now feels like podcasting in the middle of a zombie apocalypse — this film is about the grit it takes to simply keep going.”
“Didn’t Die is a witty and poignant take on the classic zombie film, crafted by a group of truly remarkable filmmakers,” commented Level 33 President Andreas Olavarria. ” We can’t wait to share this film with audiences across North America.”
