Arrow Video is bringing Audition and the Mortal Kombat Kollection to limited edition 4K Ultra HD in June.

From master of horror Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer, 13 Assassins), Audition will be released on 4K UHD on June 16.

The 1999 Japanese psychological horror film has been newly restored in 4K from the original Super 16mm camera negative, approved by director of photography Hideo Yamamoto.

When recent widower Shigeharu Aoyama is advised by his son to find a new wife, he seeks the advice of a colleague having been out of the dating scene for many years. The two men decide to take advantage of their position working at a film company to stage an audition to find the perfect partner.

Interviewing a series of women, Shigeharu soon becomes enchanted by Asami, a quiet, 24-year-old woman, who is immediately responsive to his charms. However, events quickly take a very dark and twisted turn as we find that Asami isn’t what she seems to be…

Ryo Ishibashi, Eihi Shiina, and Jun Kunimura star.

Daisuke Tengan (13 Assassins) penned the script, based on Ryû Murakami‘s 1997 novel of the same name.

Miike’sBad Lieutenant: Tokyo is due out later this year, and he’s currently in production on a new horror film starring Charli XCX, Milly Alcock, and Norman Reedus.

Featuring 1995’s Mortal Kombat and 1997’s Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, the Mortal Kombat Kollection will be released on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on June 30.

Both films have been newly restored in 4K from their original camera negatives, approved by respective directors Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil) and John R. Leonetti (Annabelle).

Kevin Droney (Wing Commander) adapted the script from the hit video game franchise.

Linden Ashby, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Robin Shou, Bridgette Wilson, Talisa Soto, and Christopher Lambert star.

Mortal Kombat: Annihilation expands the scale and mythology as the battle spills beyond the tournament into an-all out war between realms.

Brent Friedman (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”) and Bryce Zabel (“The Crow: Stairway to Heaven”) wrote the script.

Shou and Soto return to star, joined by Brian Thompson, Sandra Hess, Lynn Red Williams, Irina Pantaeva, and James Remar.

Mortal Kombat II, a sequel to 2021’s Mortal Kombat reboot, opens in theaters May 8.
