While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are taking a break from the spotlight in Canada this holiday season, Kate Middleton has been busy back at home with her family. On Christmas, she joined the royal family at Christmas church service in Norfolk. She’s been spending a lot of time with her kids, who, according to this candid holiday photo of them, are growing up faster than anyone can keep track.
Before all of this holiday business started, Kate was making her regular royal appearances. In November, Kensington Palace revealed Friday, Kate spent two days at Kingston Maternity Unit, where she visited with midwives in hospital clinics and post-natal wards.
While there, she wore a belted Michael Kors crepe dress with a plum, black and white geometric print. She paired the chic but casual look with a pair of black ankle boots. The dress now retails at Net-a-Porter for £150.50.
On Friday, Kensington Palace released an open letter from the Duchess of Cambridge to the midwives.
“Your work often goes on behind the scenes, and away from the spotlight. Recently however, I was privileged enough to witness a small section of it first hand, spending several days at Kingston Hospital’s Maternity Unit,” she wrote, in part. “Although this was not my first encounter with the care and kindness provided by midwives across the country, it gave me a broader insight into the true impact you have on everybody you help.”
