We, like Rose McGowan, are so very tired. (YouTube)
Rose McGowan says she is “a registered Republican” even though she “hates Trump” and in her own words, imagine how tired we are.
The actor, author and activist justified her decision to vote Republican in a confusing Twitter rant.
She said that she “loathes the Clintons” – neither of whom are running for office in 2020 – and “cannot vote Democrat” because she’d “rather know what evil I’m getting, so I’ll go Republican”.
“This is about WWIII, so none of that s*** matters anyway,” she added, with the hashtags “#TeamStayAlive #RoseArmy.”
I’m a registered Republican in California. I loathe the Clintons. I hate Trump. I will not vote Republican, but I cannot vote Democrat. I’d rather know what evil I’m getting, so I’ll go Republican. This is about WWIII, so none of that shit matters anyway. #TeamStayAlive #RoseArmy pic.twitter.com/l7MtDXUVuy

Twitter’s response was generally one of confusion.
Well it’s good news that the Clintons aren’t running in 2020.

More like ““I’m gonna hope for the best but also actively try to make things worse!”

Dear America:
On behalf of Hollywood, we sincerely apologize for Rose McGowan and her despicable, terrorist-appeasing ilk.

Rose McGowan says that actually, she isn’t a Republican, even though she just said she was.
Immediately after coming out as a Republican, McGowan performed a swift volte-face.
“I will never vote Republican,” she tweeted, apparently forgetting what she had written just minutes before.
“I want the Democrats to win because we are less likely to die. I am a conscientious objector to the USA, its policies, lies, corruption, nationalism, racism, and deep misogyny. It is our right and duty as citizens to dissent.”

Like the rest of us, Rose McGowan is scared of World War III following Trump’s assassination of an Iranian general.
Hours after her Republican tweets, McGowan clarified that she had “freaked out because we may have an impending war.”
“Sometimes it’s okay to freak out on those in power,” she wrote.
“It’s our right. That is what so many Brave soldiers have fought for. That is democracy. I do not want any more American soldiers killed. That’s it.”
Ok, so I freaked out because we may have any impending war. Sometimes it’s okay to freak out on those in power. It’s our right. That is what so many Brave soldiers have fought for. That is democracy. I do not want any more American soldiers killed. That’s it.

This isn’t the first time Rose McGowan has said something stupid, as trans people will tell you.
In January 2019, McGowan apologised for claiming that trans women could not relate to cisgender women’s experience of “living in this world as a woman”.
She made the comments on RuPaul’s podcast What’s The Tee? in July 2017, leading to a heated confrontation with a trans woman at a book event in February 2018.
She told PinkNews that she was “profoundly sorry” for the entire debacle.
“I didn’t have the correct language,” she explained. “I am, you know, an older woman from Hollywood. It’s not exactly the place for understanding the language.”
