In the latest in a string of delayed shows and cancellations, pop queen Madonna has just cancelled the first London, England, show of her Madame X tour.

Furious fans took to Twitter to express their dismay over the concert’s cancellation, due to take place on January 27.

With a further 14 nights scheduled at the same venue, fans for the tour’s first night were “massively disappointed” when their phones flared with a text message from Ticketmaster confirming the cancellation.

Madonna cancels first London show ‘under doctor’s guidance’.

A statement from Madonna in an email sent to fans read: “I am deeply sorry that I have to cancel my concert scheduled for Monday January 27 in London.

“Under doctor’s guidance, I have been told to rest for a few days.

“As you all know I have injuries that have plagued me since the beginning of the tour but I must always listen to my body and put my health first.”

She continued: “The last thing I want to do is disappoint my fans or compromise the integrity of my show. So I will keep going until I cannot.

“As always – anyone who purchased a ticket will be refunded for tickets purchased that evening.”

On the London leg of the tour, the first show is listed as cancelled, while the bulk of the show sets are listed as having low availability.

This marks the “Vogue” singer’s tenth cancellation, coming after two shelved sets in Lisbon this week.
