Dallas Library to Be Named for Power Trip’s Riley Gale

Music

Organizers in Dallas, Texas have shared plans for a forthcoming library named for Power Trip singer Riley Gale, who died in August at age 34. The Dallas Hope Center, the city’s only shelter for LGBTQ+ youth, will be home to the Riley Gale Library. Organizers in Gale’s home town are seeking donations to build the library’s collection in the meantime, see more on that here.

In a statement posted to Facebook on September 24, organizers Vanessa Reynolds and Jeff Reynolds wrote that the project was inspired by Gale’s own love for reading. They’re aiming to have the library open by December. The Dallas Hope Center, a part of the network of Dallas Hope Charities, provides housing and other services to youth between the ages of 18 and 24.
