Movie Games scored a big win for their erotic horror title Lust From Beyond at the Future Games Show last night by announcing an M-rated version for Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Lust from Beyond: M Edition is “tailored to the preferences of players who love the genre of Lovecraftian horror for its mystery, narrative and atmosphere rather than explicit content.”
In other words, for those who aren’t aware, Sony and Microsoft won’t carry AO-rated games on their stores (which the original Lust From Beyond was rated on Steam). This means that the game will be on Sony and Microsoft’s digital storefronts.
The sequel to 2018’s Lust for Darkness, Lust From Beyond has you assuming the role of a man named Victor Holloway. An antiquarian, Victor is tormented by visions. Searching for answers, he joins the Cult of Ecstasy. The cultists, following Victor’s visions, attempt to enter Lusst’ghaa – the Land of Ecstasy beyond the borders of our reality.
Lust from Beyond: M Edition is expected to be released Q1 2021. The “uncut” version can still be had on Steam. Just remember to hide it from the kids.
