The artwork for Lady Gaga’s feverishly-anticipated new album, Chromatica, appears to have leaked online ahead of its release.

Gaga’s sixth studio album was due to be released on April 10 but has now been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, the singer said it had been an “incredibly tough decision” to postpone Chromatica but that “it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on.”

The album and its artwork remained tightly under wraps, until an image was revealed on the Czech music website CD Hudba.

The page was quickly taken down, but not before eagle-eyed fans took screenshots.

While it’s not confirmed that this image actually is the album cover, the sweeping curve encircling Gaga and crossing her body bears a striking resemblance to the teaser image she tweeted to her fans several weeks ago.

“This is not the album cover but we made it for you to enjoy in the meantime,” she said.

It’s thought the mystery symbol could be based on the mathematical symbol for sound, which Gaga recently touched on in an interview with Zane Lowe.

The star is expected to make an exciting announcement on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show this Monday, leaving some to suspect that she might’ve been planning to release the image herself.

The second single from Chromatica is expected to be a feature with pop superstar Ariana Grande, and Little Monsters have been piecing together clues as to the song’s name, with ‘Rain on Me’ coming out on top.

The song was planned for release in early April as an instant gratification track for those who pre-ordered Chromatica, but this has likely been delayed alongside the album.
