Final Fantasy 7: How to Obtain Aerith’s Great Gospel

Movies

In Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Limit Breaks can be game-changers and Aerith’s Limit Breaks are extremely useful for her party. In the original Final Fantasy 7, Aerith had a Limit Break called Great Gospel that was able to restore all party member’s health and magic along with removing all negative status effects. The best out of all the abilities for the Great Gospel was that on top of all those benefits, it gave the party temporary invincibility.

Unfortunately, in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the Great Gospel isn’t available but her two Limit Breaks of Healing Wind and Planet’s Protection give a small taste of what Great Gospel could be if and when it becomes available in future Final Fantasy 7 Remake games. For now, we have to be happy with what she has although it doesn’t hurt to know how it might be gotten in the future by looking at the original game and how to get it there which is exactly what we’re going to do.

Items Needed To Get Great Gospel in Final Fantasy 7

Final Fantasy 7 Sleeping Man Cave

Getting the Great Gospel for Aerith needs a bit of preparation as a few items are needed to get it. The most important is getting a Mythril item that is needed for a small story plotline. The first item needed is the Buggy which allows the group to travel through the main world a bit faster than just walking. Getting is is done by going to the Gold Saucer and getting released from prison by Dio. He gives it to the party as an apology for locking everyone up. The Mythril, which is the other item needed, is gained by using the Buggy and heading to the Costa del Sol region and finding a cave near Junon that has a sleeping person inside. He only gives the Mythril if the party has had an odd number of battles fought and the last two numbers must be double numbers or double zeros like 355, 200, or 711 for example.

How To Get Great Gospel in Final Fantasy 7

Final Fantasy 7 Great Gospel

After getting the Mythril, there’s a weapon seller east of Gongaga. To get there, the party has to have the Tiny Bronco that gets a scene triggered where the weapon seller talks about a Keystone and the Temple of the Ancients. Once having a conversation with the weapon seller, some menu options open up and the party will be able to give the Mythril to him in exchange for the contents of the boxes in his home. The box on the second level contains the Great Gospel. Don’t go for the box on the first floor or a Gold Armlet will be the reward and those can be gotten almost anywhere. A small note though is opening the box will give the manual for the Great Gospel but it can only be used when all of Aerith’s Limit Breaks are found.
