Chat With Deadpool’s Disembodied Head By Calling This Number

Movies

Deadpool fans can now dial a phone number to speak to and interact with Deadpool’s disembodied head. The Marvel antihero, created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld, is among the publisher’s most unique and bizarre characters. Perhaps the most standout trait of the “Merc with a Mouth” is that he has a tendency to constantly crack jokes while breaking the fourth wall. Breaking the fourth wall has allowed writers to do some hilarious things with the character, both inside and outside of the comics and films.

This was on full display during the marketing campaign for the first two live-action Deadpool movies. For instance, the marketing team used fake but convincing rom-com posters with Deadpool actors Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin that seemingly had nothing to do with the movie. During the Deadpool 2 marketing campaign, there was also the famous Bob Ross clip starring Deadpool in a Bob Ross wig. There was also an ad involving the character learning Portuguese for Brazil’s Comic-Con Experience, and now the fun continues with Deadpool’s severed head.

Hasbro just made the newest Marvel Legends collectible, which is an interactive model of Deadpool’s head. In tandem, a new phone number was released that will allow callers to speak to Deadpool. The head has over 600 catchphrases to entertain fans and also moves and makes facial expressions. However, the collectible comes with a hefty price. First reported by CBR, fans who don’t want to spend the money on purchasing the head can still partake in the fun by calling the phone number 1-833-377-4323. The disembodied Deadpool head is currently available for pre-order on the Hasbro Pulse site and will start shipping on September 1.

Deadpool Interactive Head

The talking Deadpool head and phone line seem like they could entertain Marvel fans for hours. The head can definitely be a conversation-starting centerpiece for any living room coffee table, and for anyone bored or missing the company of other people due to the COVID-19 lockdown, this could be a fun way to pass the time. Between all the Zoom calls for work, or running out of things to talk about with roommates, a stray Deadpool quip here and there could definitely add to one’s day.

Trying the phone number could be a good sneak preview at the types of things the actual Deadpool Head can say and may help prospective buyers make the decision to purchase the collectible. This is yet another great example of the type of creative, fun, and interactive marketing campaigns involving the merc, however, not having Ryan Reynolds voice the toy could turn some fans away.
