Review: Juliana and Lily Frazier’s “Petty Boys”

Music

The rising sensation, Latin band Juliana has just released a brand new video called “Petty Boys” along with superstar Lily Frazier, but this track has a twist. The faction usually releasing songs only in Spanish has swayed from the usual and fused English and Latin simultaneously. Juliana has seized the moment and included the best of both worlds with “Petty Boys”, an exciting and climatic tract.

Lily Frazier is a shining star in the making. The gifted and talented blonde beauty can make even the plainest faces alive with promise. Front woman of the band Madeleine Kaye, the dark beauty of Juliana, sings the Latin words with a dramatic fire that evokes a chaotic frenzy. Between the two female singer’s the stage comes to life like a sweeping avalanche constantly moving forward. Every avalanche begins with the movement of a single snowflake as does the beginning of the stunning video “Petty Boys.”

The contrast between Kaye and Frazier not only compliments the vibe of the video but triggers an unprecedented spark that ignites as the video reaches its pinnacle. Musically a brilliant composition, “Petty Boys” is saturated with intensity, drama, passion and sophistication, with a full orchestrated sound including strings, guitar, drums, bass, heart and vibrancy. Radio friendly the pop Latin song ensues a life of its own.

Juliana, a Latino band in which not one of its members are in the least bit Latin, also features Hollywood stuntman and director John Stewart. Stewart was the most sought-after stuntman setting world records for his jumping off 16 stories while burning on fire. As a director he is responsible for The Power Rangers and also worked as a stuntman of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off among many others. Stewart is also the subject of the movie “The Fall Guy”, a film fashioned after his career. Juliana has just come off of appearing in a six-hour historic virtual benefit concert alongside artists including Slash, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Sir Patrick Stewart, iconic band member of YES, Rick Wakeman, Kim Sledge, Tommy James, Julian Lennon and many others.

Juliana has nor only been creating a massive buzz but also has many surprises in store for 2021. Definitely a band to watch for next year and beyond……
