What TIME Falcon & Winter Soldier Releases On Disney+

Movies

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier comes out this Friday, but what time will it release online? Originally planned to be the first Marvel TV series to launch on Disney+, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is coming months after its initial planned release date and two weeks after WandaVision‘s conclusion. It now has the benefit of not carrying the burden of kicking off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it does have a lot on its plate.

Along with bringing back Sam Wilson aka Falcon and Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has to deal with the return of Baron Zemo as well as Steve Rogers’ legacy as Captain America. Plus, the series will highlight the situation of the world after the events of Avengers: Endgame. WandaVision didn’t get to do that too much since most of the story was centralized in one location, and Spider-Man: Far From Home simply didn’t examine that aspect to its full potential. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, meanwhile, will be a globe-trotting series with lots of room for exploration of life after Endgame.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier releases on Disney+ at 12:01 am PDT, 3:01 am EDT, and 7:01 am GMT on Friday, March 19, 2021. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s release time is the same as WandaVision and every other movie and series that has come out on Disney+ since its launch, including both seasons of The Mandalorian. Like Netflix, Disney+ has maintained its midnight Pacific release time as an easy timetable for its viewers to maintain.

Although it’s late at night, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s release time won’t impact its immediate views in the slightest bit. As viewers saw with both The Mandalorian and WandaVision, Disney+ is prone to temporary crashes on the release of new Marvel and Star Wars episodes. So people should be prepared to expect some sort of delay, at least with the premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, if not with the release of consecutive episodes.

Unlike WandaVision, though, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier won’t have nine episodes; Marvel Studios has planned six episodes for season 1, all of which will release at midnight Pacific on Fridays. Unless there are any sudden changes to the plan throughout the season’s run, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will end on April 23, with the next Marvel series, Loki, coming almost two months later on June 11. If everything goes according to plan, Marvel fans can expect to have Black Widow tide them over until the God of Mischief gets up to no good… again.
