Star chef Natasha de Bourg of Below Deck Sailing Yacht is letting fans in on who exactly inspired her to be the best cook she could be. The reality stars top chef is Dominique Crenn. The world-renowned French chef has accomplished a lot in her career, just like De Bourg. Now, De Bourg is sharing her thoughts on reaching her aspirations in an exclusive interview with Screen Rant.

Currently, she is dealing with a temperamental chief stew who feels she has personality issues. Fans have watched as the head of the galley runs her kitchen her own way, and Daisy Kelliher is not a fan. While miscommunications are inevitable, De Bourg is not one to dwell on the negative. The Bravo star has worked hard to achieve her success, including working at Michelin star restaurants and a vast amount of traveling to hone her chops. It makes total sense that the Trinidad native would look toward Crenn for inspiration since she is currently the only female chef in the United States to attain three Michelin stars for her restaurant Atelier Crenn which is based in San Francisco. De Bourg revealed to Screen Rant that was someone she would like to emulate since she was the number female chef in 2016. Crenn mixes artistry with craft and presents food that is more than a muse.

The yacht chef also mentioned that she was fond of Massimo Bottura, who is an Italian restauranteur and head chef at the Osteria Francescana in Modena. De Bourg revealed that “He’s super cool,” and he just brings life into the things he does. The young foodie also mentioned that this is what she aspires to be like in the future, especially since he had the “best” restaurant in Italy.

Bravo fans watched this week’s episode as her skills were tested by a demanding group of nine who felt the money could buy them everything. But fans of the nautical show are not worried since De Bourg is entitled to an off day every once and a while. As for her relationship with Kelliher, fans will have to keep tuning in to see if their relationship stays rocky or starts to mend. Hopefully, one day viewers will be able to go to De Bourg’s own restaurant and try all her delicious concoctions.
