Fiona Apple has been a vocal advocate of virtual court observations in Prince George’s County, Maryland in recent months. Now, she’s shared a new video encouraging her fans to join her in calling state lawmakers to support legislation that would continue to allow virtual court access. Watch her step-by-step explanation—complete with a prompt—below.

Since winning two Fetch the Bolt Cutters-related trophies at last year’s Grammys, Apple has covered Sharon Van Etten’s “Love More” for the 10th anniversary of the singer-songwriter’ album epic. Last summer, her song “Shameika” appeared in Nia DaCosta’s Candyman reboot, with proceeds going to the Harlem Children’s Zone. She’d previously said she’d donate proceeds from “Shameika” and “Heavy Balloon” to nonprofit causes in 2020, echoing a similar commitment she’d made with “Criminal” in 2019.
