Claire Rousay Signs to Thrill Jockey, Announces Fall Tour

The L.A.-based singer heads out on a tour of the Midwest later this month

Claire Rousay has signed a record deal with the independent Chicago label Thrill Jockey. She’ll head out on a tour of the American Midwest later this month, starting with a show at Chicago’s Thalia Hall with William Basinski. In December, Basinski will join her in a collaborative show with New York City duo LEYA in Brooklyn. On January 20, she’ll premiere her composition “crying too” with the Wild Up ensemble at Darkness Sounding Festival in Los Angeles. Check out the full list of shows below. 

Shortly after releasing sometimes i feel like i have no friends in December 2021, Rousay released the collaborative EP never stop texting me with more eaze and announced her own LP everything perfect is already here. She went on to share another collaborative EP called Sunset Poem, comprised of new versions of three songs from the Circuit des Yeux’s 2021 album -io, and another album called Wouldn’t Have to Hurt, donating all the proceeds to the Trevor Project.
