Blonde Redhead have released “More Coda,” a reworking of 2000’s “For the Damaged Coda” that the band made for Rick & Morty. Listen to the song, used as a theme for the character Evil Morty, below.

“For the Damaged Coda” appears on Blonde Redhead’s 2000 album, Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons. “More Coda” was recorded for the Adult Swim series in New York. Singer Kazu Makino said of the new version: “We ramped up the drama and thrill to match the exhilaration of the scene.”

In addition to sharing “More Coda,” Blonde Redhead have announced a 2024 North American tour. The dates will follow European shows that begin next week. See a full itinerary below.

Earlier this year, Blonde Redhead shared their first album in nearly a decade, Sit Down for Dinner. Read Pitchfork’s interview “Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino on the Music That Made Her.”
