Chris Hemsworth Shares What’s Kept His Nearly 15-Year Marriage With Elsa Pataky “In Check”

Chris Hemsworth is getting real about the key to a lasting marriage.

The Thorstar, 42, will have been married to Fast & Furiousactress Elsa Patakyfor 15 years come Dec. 26. And Chris shared that while work and kids can make life chaotic, the secret to a long, healthy marriage has been nothing other than quality time.

“Making time for one another,” Chris shared on the Dec. 15 episode of the On Purpose podcast. “Just having time for the two of us and making space for each other.”

The Avengers actor added that during their quality time together, it’s been important for them to continue learning about one another, which he shared has often led to personal growth in the process.

“It allows you to forgive each other. It allows you to be more compassionate with each other. It allows you to have greater understandings of both your shortcomings,” Chris shared. “I think that has kept us in check.”

He added, “The moment you run out of things to talk about, and you lack that curiosity and interest in one another, you know that’s when it’s concerning.”
