With IllFonic and Gun Interactive’s Halloween video game coming next year, it was a question of whether Behaviour Interactive would be holding onto the license for the Halloween chapter of Dead by Daylight. Unfortunately for fans, we now have the answer. Much like what happened with Stranger Things, the Halloween chapter, featuring Michael Myers, Laurie Strode, and Haddonfield, will be leaving early next year.

Halloween came to Dead by Daylight way back in October 2016, and was the first horror film to be added to the game as a license. From there, Dead by Daylight has received several franchise crossovers. Fans now have untilJanuary 19th, 2026, 11 AM ETin order to grab Dead by Daylight: Halloweenbefore it leaves for good.

As with Stranger Things, those who own the chapter can continue to use its content, including cosmetics. And if you don’t have it, you’ll be able to snag the chapter (and grind to unlock everything) as part of a Last Chance 50% off sale until the 19th.

And for those who don’t own the characters, The Shape and Laurie Strode’s Perks will undergo name changes. They will be added to the General Perk pool and available in the Bloodweb for everyone. Associated Charms and Achievements will be updated to reflect these changes.

Meanwhile, IllFonic and Gun Interactive’s Halloween: The Video Gamewill launch onPlayStation 5,Xbox Series, and PCvia SteamandEpic Games StoreonSeptember 8, 2026.
