Scary Movie seesAnna Faris return as Cindy Campbell — alongside Regina Hall as Brenda,Marlon Wayans as Shorty, Shawn Wayans as Ray, and more franchise favorites — and no one is more excited about it than Faris.
“Cindy’s back, and I’m so excited. I never thought it would happen like this,” Faris tells Variety.
“In February of 2025, [Marlon Wayans] called me, and he said, ‘We’re getting the gang back together.’ I couldn’t believe it,” Faris recalls. “For this to happen in this way has been euphoric for me. I’ve been so sentimental.”
She continues, “I feel like I’m finally in a place where I could really thank them, where I could tell Keenan [Ivory Wayans], ‘You’ve changed my life.’ It was so pivotal as opposed to remembering how terrified I was back in those early days. It has been incredible for me.
“I don’t know too many people who get to have this life experience where it’s this kind of beautiful reunion. The fact that the audience seems hungry for it, it’s thrilling. I did not imagine this for myself.”
As for what’s in store in the sixth installment in the horror spoof series, Faris teases, “I think we succeeded in really blurring the line and confusing people, especially around Cindy Campbell. That’s what I’m hoping for.”
She adds, “Let’s just say that Cindy Campbell gets a degree of revenge, and that felt incredible.”
